Tidelands Park undergoing renovation

September 13th, 2008 Posted in Coronado News

The Port of San Diego has begun work at Tidelands Park to make the park compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Twenty picnic tables are being removed and will be replaced with concrete pads and foundations for the new concrete tables that will be installed.   The port will also be installing ADA compliant ramps and walkways from the parking areas to the park areas, providing better access for the disabled.  The work be completed by December 08 but the park will remain open during the duration of the project.
