The Coronado Woman’s Club will hold it annual Bazaar and White Elephant Sale on Saturday morning, November 22, from 8:00am - 12:00pm at Granzer Hall, Coronado Middle School, 550 F Avenue.   Always fun to rummage around at the tables looking for that special “treasure”.    Lovely crafts for sale, too.    Support your local Woman’s Club!

Dozens of fabulous venders (jewelry, candles, home accessories, pillows, clothing, candy, cookies, children’s creations, educational toys, all types of wreaths, customs greeting cards, Pampered Chef and more…).

$10 per person admission which includes champagne cocktails, elegant pastries, special coffees and entertainment. All proceeds benefit FOCUS.

Coronado hottest spot in the nation!

Saturday, November 15th was a HOT day.  According to the National Weather Service, Coronado tied with El Cajon as the two hottest spots in the nation that day.   96 degrees was the high temperature.   IN NOVEMBER!

Cal-Am Water Company moving to Coronado

A seven-year, $2.56 million lease has been signed by California American Water Company Inc. for 8,751 square feet of office space in Island Terraces at 1033 B Ave in Coronado.   The office space will fill the second floor of the building.

Island Terraces is a three-story mixed-use building designed by Galvin Cristilli Parshalle Architects. It includes 50 underground and 10 covered surface parking spaces.

New Street Signs Around Coronado

New Federal regulations recommend larger street name signs for added safety. The Streets Division installed 148 new street name signs on Orange Avenue, Glorietta Boulevard, Pomona Avenue, Ocean Boulevard, and Third and Fourth Streets. The new signs are 9″ tall, providing greater readability. The City’s crown logo is also displayed on the signs.

Friends of the Library donates a new Steinway

The Friends of the Library have donated a new Steinway Model “O” miniature concert grand piano for the Winn Room. The new piano, which replaces the old Baldwin upright piano, will facilitate offering high quality Library-sponsored concerts.
