New Recycling Carts to be delivered to Coronado Residents
May 11th, 2008 Posted in Coronado NewsEDCO Waste & Recycling program will begin delivering new blue recycling containers the week of May 12th on regularly scheduled service days.
The new cans will make recycling much simpler for residents because all recyclables can be thrown into one container. That’s right - bottles, cans, paper and cardboard, plastic. glass, aluminum and steel. Check out EDCO’s website for more information.
Another reason for the new containers is to keep the rodent population down by having a covered container. And the new container has wheels for easy maneuvering!!!
Other uses for the old green container are: storage in the garage, toys, easy access recycle to be dumped in the Blue Can for pick up day. Also, the green containers would be perfect for you in the garden for weeding and clean up, a mini-compost bin or worm farm. If you decide you don’t want your old green container you can leave it out for pickup the following week.
