Naval Base Coronado wins award from Defense Secretary

Commanding Officer Capt. Anthony Gaiani said, “This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion for excellence shared by the men and women of Naval Base Coronado, and I am grateful and proud that their work has been recognized.” The award recognizes that installations enable better mission performance and enhance the quality of life for military men and women, and their families. Some of the highlights of Naval Base Coronado’s achievements include Coronado Classic Speed Festival, Bay-Bridge Run, Admiral James B. Stockdale Gate dedication, 2007 San Diego Wildfire community support, numerous awards in nearly every category and innovative renewable energy projects.
