Glorietta Bay Marina Slips now complete
March 8th, 2008 Posted in Coronado NewsBellingham Marine Contractors has announced the completion of a $9 million renovation on Coronado’s Glorietta Bay Marina’s slips and support facilities. Facility renovations included the design and installation of a Unifloat dock system with upgraded utilities; management of pile driving activities; and the installation of a new fire suppression, fresh water, and public sewage pump-out system. A new entry pier was completed with security gate and ADA compliant gangway.
The Glorietta Bay Marina project featured some innovative features including the development of a 17,500 square foot eelgrass habitat located a half-mile away. Eelgrass supports a complex ecosystem in the San Diego Bay area. The new habitat was created to replace habitat lost during the waterfront improvement project.
