Extra flight traffic to/from North Island until August 24
August 18th, 2008 Posted in Navy in CoronadoFlight training is in high gear right now so it’s not your imagination that there is more airplane traffic and noise. Carrier Air Wing 5, recently attached to the Kitty Hawk and heading back over to Japan on August 24th, is conducting pre-deployment training of their helicopter and jet fighter squadrons. Most of the training will occur Mondays - Thursdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Night maneuvers will occur from August 18-20 from 9:00pm until 2:00am.
