Carriage house development and building regulations tightened by City of Coronado
The City Council agreed this week to tighten its building guidelines for carriage houses. Always controversial, this new ordinance will tighten development rules and regulations in response to complaints of some homeowners overbuilding, adding large kitchens or renting the spaces intended to be used as a spare bedroom or home office.
